About Error Clinic
Error Clinic exists for one moment: your appliance has stopped, it's showing a code you've never seen, and you want a straight answer before you pay for a repair visit.
What we do
Each guide covers one error code on one appliance from one brand — nothing generic. Every page follows the same structure: what the code actually means, the most likely causes ranked by how often they occur, the fixes that are safe to attempt without training, and a clear line where a professional should take over, including what that visit typically costs.
How we work
We only publish codes that are well-established and verifiable for the exact brand and appliance. Where a code's meaning varies between models or generations, the page says so and shows you how to confirm against your own model's manual rather than guessing. The full approach — including our safety rules and how we handle corrections — is described in our editorial policy.
Who's behind it
Error Clinic is an independent reference site created and maintained by Callum Griffin. It isn't affiliated with Samsung, LG, Whirlpool, or any appliance manufacturer — brand names appear only to identify which machines a code applies to.
