Bosch Refrigerator Error Codes — Complete List
Bosch refrigerators are quiet about their faults, so when an E-code appears on the display it's worth taking seriously. The official line for most of them starts with the same honest free first step — a timed power reset — before any talk of parts.
- E02 E02 flags the ice maker, or a communication hiccup between the refrigerator and its ice-and-water controls. A 30-second breaker reset clears many of them.
- E03 E03 is the water-and-ice dispenser's user interface reporting a fault. Reset the breaker, retest the dispenser, then hand it over if it repeats.
- E or D 'E or D' is Bosch's generic display warning. The standard reset — five minutes off at the breaker — addresses the common one-off causes.
Don't see your code?
These are the US-market readouts on built-in and freestanding refrigerator models as documented by Bosch. Display formats vary slightly by model (numeric codes vs. a generic 'E or D' warning), so treat the reset as step one either way.
