Amana Dryer Error Codes — Complete List

Amana dryers flag restricted airflow as AF (or 'Check Vent') and use two-part system codes for the rest: F2E1 points at the keypad, and F7 E1 at the motor, the control or the wiring between them. Amana's documented first step for the system codes is a breaker reset.

• AF (Check Vent) Restricted airflow — AF (or 'Check Vent') tells you the dryer senses clogged venting that's slowing drying.
• F2E1 (F2 E1) Keypad fault — F2E1 points to the control panel; Amana's fix starts with a one-minute breaker reset.
• F7 E1 Motor system fault — F7 E1 means the dryer's motor, control, or motor wiring triggered an error.
