Electrolux Error Codes
Pick the code your Electrolux appliance is showing. Each page explains what the code means, the most likely causes ranked by probability, and which fixes are safe to try before calling a technician.
Electrolux Washer Codes
- E11 E11 appears when the wash phase tries to fill but can't reach the right water level in time — water is arriving, just too slowly, or not at all.
- E13 E13 is the washer's leak alarm — it senses water where it shouldn't be, usually in or under the tub area, and stops the cycle to protect the electronics.
- E21 E21 appears when the pump-out phase runs longer than the washer allows; water is still leaving the tub, just not fast enough.
- E31 E31 points to the electronic pressure switch — the part that tells the washer how full the tub is — and the control board is rejecting its signal.
- E35 E35 is the washer's 'too much water' alarm — the pressure sensor says the tub is overfilled, and the washer drops into a safety drain.
- E41 E41 is a door-signal fault: the washer thinks the door is open. Usually the door just isn't fully latched — sometimes the switch itself has failed.
- E42 E42 is the washer's way of saying it can't confirm the door is locked — the mechanism isn't registering, so cycles won't run.
- E52 E52 is a speed-sensor warning: the washer isn't hearing from the motor's tachometer, so it can't be sure the drum is spinning safely and stops.
- E54 E54 means the motor relay on the control board isn't switching off cleanly — Electrolux's service manual lists it as motor relay contacts sticking, a board-level fault rather than anything in the load.
- SU dS SU dS is the oversudsing alarm — too much soap, or the wrong soap, and the washer keeps rinsing until the foam clears.
Electrolux Dryer Codes
- EF1 EF1 is the dryer's airflow alarm — the exhaust path can't breathe, so the dryer slows down and warns you about the blockage.
- E42 Dryer E42 means 'door open' to the machine — it won't heat or tumble until the door registers as closed.
- E4 E4 means the moisture sensor that tells the dryer when clothes are dry has failed — auto-dry cycles can't measure, but manual cycles still work.
- H2 / B2 H2 / B2 is the dryer's power-supply alarm — the control board sees abnormal incoming power and wants the power supply looked at.
- H4 / B4 H4 / B4 means the dryer is seeing incorrect wiring, flagged by Electrolux as an installation issue — a moment to call your installer, not a parts supplier.
Electrolux Dishwasher Codes
- i20 The tub kept water when the cycle expected it empty — Electrolux's official checklist starts with the trap and filters, then the drain hose, its height off the floor, and the disposal connection.
- i40 i40 is Electrolux telling you food soils have built up in the sump — the company's fix is to clean the glass trap and filter and rerun the unit.
- PF PF is simply the machine telling you it lost power — a blip, an outage, or a tripped breaker. Electrolux's own guide says press START/CANCEL to clear it, and it's ready to go again.
Electrolux Refrigerator Codes
- PF PF is Electrolux's power-failure marker — an outage or surge interrupted the unit. Acknowledge it with the alarm-reset key; after a long outage it may show alongside the high-temp alarm until the box cools.
- H or HI H or HI is Electrolux's high-temperature alarm — a compartment stayed too warm for too long. Close the doors, check the gaskets, and clear the alarm; a return visit means the cooling system needs a look.
- DI SP DI SP is the ice-jam alarm — cubes stuck in the chute, or melted and refrozen around the auger. Clear the chute, thaw the bin, and dismiss the alarm; the dispenser picks up where it left off.
