Midea Washer Error Codes — Complete List

Midea is the factory behind a great many budget and rebadged washers, and its own top-load and portable machines report faults with a short E-code set — E1 for filling, E2 for draining, E3 for the lid, E4 for balance. The codes below are verified, each with a full diagnosis and the fixes that are safe to try first.

• E1 Your Midea washer isn't getting enough water during fill — E1 points to the supply side (taps, inlet hose, mesh filter) far more often than to the machine itself.
• E2 Your Midea washer can't pump the water out — E2 flags a drain that didn't complete in time, usually a kinked or too-high drain hose or a clogged pump filter.
• E3 Your Midea washer doesn't think the lid is shut — E3 is the lid/lid-switch fault, so the machine won't spin until it's satisfied the lid is closed.
• E4 Your Midea washer found the load lopsided during spin — E4 is the out-of-balance fault, cleared by spreading the laundry evenly and levelling the machine.
