KitchenAid Dishwasher Error Codes — Complete List
KitchenAid dishwashers with a display use F#E# codes: F8E4 means water was detected in the drip tray, F9E1 a long drain, and F8E2 an electrical error in the fill valve circuit.
- F8E4 (F8 E4) F8E4 is the dishwasher's leak-system error — the flood float in the base found water, and the machine stopped to protect your kitchen.
- F9E1 (F9 E1) F9E1 means the dishwasher took too long to drain — most often a clogged filter, a kinked drain hose, or a disposer knockout plug left in place.
- F8E2 (F8 E2) F8E2 is an electrical error in the fill valve circuit — the control is not seeing the inlet valve behave correctly.
