KitchenAid Range Error Codes — Complete List
KitchenAid ranges use the Whirlpool F9/F3 platform in the oven: F9 E0 for a door-latch fault, PF for a power-loss reminder, and LOC/SAB for control-lock and Sabbath states. Most clear with a latch or power reset.
- F9 E0 (F9, F9E0) F9 E0 points to an electrical wiring problem — most often a miswired power connection, usually caught in the first months after installation.
- PF (PF ID 27, PF ID 30) PF is a friendly reminder that power was interrupted — press Cancel to clear it and reset the clock if needed.
- LOC (Lock, Locked) LOC means the range's control lock is active — the oven controls are disabled until you unlock them.
- SAB (Sab, 5AB, 5A6) SAB means Sabbath mode is active — a convenience setting that keeps the oven usable during religious observance.
