Roborock Robot Vacuum Error 2 — What It Means & How to Fix It

By Callum Griffin · Researched and verified against manufacturer and repair documentation · Reviewed September 2026

Roborock Error 2 means the front bumper is stuck in its pressed position.

What this code means

The Q5 manual's wording is "Bumper stuck. Clean it and lightly tap to release it." The bumper is the sprung front section that tells the robot it has touched something. Grit behind it can hold it in, and the robot then stops because it reads a collision that never ends.

Taken from the Errors table in Roborock's Q5 user manual. Roborock reuses these low numbers across many models, but the lists are not identical — higher numbers in particular differ — so check the manual for your robot.
